The Healing Money Wounds FREEDOM Framework™ is the healing-centered foundation behind all Financial Healing Circles™ programming, consulting engagements, and certification pathways. Developed by Tyana Larise Ingram, LCSW, CFSW, this framework was created to address what traditional financial education often misses—the emotional, relational, and spiritual roots beneath financial behavior.
Rather than focusing solely on budgeting or behavior change, the FREEDOM Framework™ supports individuals and communities in healing money wounds, reclaiming agency, and building sustainable financial practices rooted in dignity, clarity, and restoration.
This framework is especially designed for survivors of trauma, scarcity, and systemic inequity—and for the leaders and organizations committed to serving them with compassion and integrity.
Addressing the story beneath the struggle
F — Face Your Truth
Participants are guided to acknowledge the beliefs, messages, and experiences that have shaped their relationship with money. This step centers honesty without shame, allowing individuals to name their financial realities with compassion.
R — Release Resentment
Healing requires letting go of emotional burdens tied to money—anger, blame, guilt, and unforgiveness. This step supports emotional release and creates space for peace and forward movement.
E — Examine Patterns
Recurring financial and emotional patterns are explored with curiosity rather than judgment. Participants begin to recognize how survival strategies may have once protected them, but no longer serve them.
Rebuilding agency, confidence, and clarity
E — Empower Your Inner Money Self
This step focuses on restoring self-worth and financial confidence. Participants reconnect with their values, priorities, and inner wisdom—shifting from fear-based decisions to values-aligned choices.
D — Deep Dive Into Financial Behavior
With a grounded and trauma-informed approach, participants explore income, expenses, savings, and debt to gain clarity and control—without overwhelm or shame.
O — Observe Opportunities
Participants are encouraged to identify opportunities for growth by leveraging their skills, gifts, and talents. This step supports expansion while honoring capacity, boundaries, and seasonality.
Creating sustainable freedom and forward momentum
M — Make & Maintain a Financial Freedom Plan
The framework culminates in building a realistic, values-aligned plan that breaks financial goals into manageable steps. Healing is reframed as growth, and planning becomes a tool for freedom rather than pressure.
This phase supports long-term sustainability—helping individuals move beyond survival and into stability, agency, and hope.
